Every baker knows the joy of mastering different shapes—from the classic round boule to the elegant oval batard. Our Artisan's Proofing Basket Duo provides you with the two essential forms for your baking repertoire. Handwoven from natural rattan, these baskets are the secret to achieving a beautiful shape, a crisp crust, and the iconic spiral pattern of a true artisan loaf.
Master Both Classic Shapes. This versatile set includes both a round and an oval basket, giving you the freedom to craft any loaf your recipe calls for. It’s the perfect foundation for any home baker looking to expand their skills.
Handwoven from 100% Natural Rattan. Crafted with care from pure rattan cane, our baskets are splinter-free, smooth, and completely free from chemicals. Rattan naturally wicks moisture from the dough's surface, helping to form the perfect skin for a wonderfully chewy and crisp crust.
For a Beautiful Rise & Pattern. The sturdy, well-made ridges of the basket support your dough during its final proof, while imparting the beautiful spiral ring pattern that is the hallmark of a professionally baked loaf.
A Thoughtful Gift for Any Baker. Whether for yourself or a friend who loves to bake, this beautiful and practical set is a truly thoughtful gift that will be cherished for years of delicious bread-making.
Your Guide to a Perfect Proof
Using your banneton is simple. First, generously dust the inside with flour—this creates a non-stick layer and helps form the spiral pattern. Next, place your kneaded dough into the basket for its final rise, covering it to prevent drying. Once it has risen beautifully, gently transfer the dough to your baking surface for the oven. The result is a perfectly shaped loaf, ready to bake!
Please remember, your banneton is for proofing only and should not be placed in the oven.

Step 1The basket needs to accumulate a thin layer of flour in the corners and gaps, which helps the dough easily leave the bread filling before baking. |
Step 2Place the kneaded dough in the basket until it rises. When proofing basket enlarges part of the dough, the top should be exposed, so you should cover the flour and liner to prevent it from drying out. |
Step 3After the dough is raised, remove the dough from the basket and transfer it to the baking tray of the oven. A delicious and beautiful bread! You can also give this to our friends! |
